The area Surrounding the Apartment
The apartment is near all Madrid monuments and tourist places. Only 2 minutes walk to the Royal Palace and 5 minutes to the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, the epicentre of Madrid. Further along is the lovely Los Austrias neighbourhood with fantastic tapas bars in unexpected corners.
Closer to home there are loads of restaurants, bars and pastry shops all with their specialties worth sampling. Also close to the apartment is the Opera. Some of the most important tourist and cultural spots in the city are 15 minutes by metro to the apartment such as the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofía museums.
